With its roots tracing back to Pomerol, the Merlot 181 clone expresses a lavishly classic rendition of the Bordeaux variety bursting with aromas of spiced black plums, cocoa powder, freshly cut flowers, iron, toffee, and vanilla cream. A vibrant and sumptuous palate of black currants, chocolate-covered cherries, plum cobbler, incense, and crushed minerals deliver a smooth and polished offering, all rounded out by soft tannins that caress the palate. Lingering notes of acidity frame a long and graceful finish, reinforcing the pedigree of both the AVA and the vintage.
